The victim was not immediately identified. He worked for Piedmont Airlines (a subsidiary of American Airlines). Federal Aviation Administration (FAR) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently investigating. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/news\/2023\/01\/american-airlines-ground-crew-worker-killed-at-montgomery-airport.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to AL.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"articleparagraph\">\u201cWe are devastated by the accident involving a team member of Piedmont Airlines, an American Airlines regional carrier, at Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM),\u201d American Airlines spokeswoman said. \u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with the family and our local team members. We are focused on ensuring that all involved have the support they need during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"articleparagraph\">Reuters reports that two sources who were briefed on the matter said the employee had died. \u201can accident involving one of the airplane\u2019s engines that was running.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A fatality occurred today at 3pm. There is no further information. The engine&#8217;s suction is strong enough that it can pull a person through it if they get too close.
