The 27-year old was then subject to a field sobriety check, which he failed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Officers tried to arrest Batson, but the situation turned physical. Batson struggled with the officers, and at some point during the altercation, an officer\u2019s gun discharged, but no one was hit. Batson then got into his car and drove off, following the officers. (Todd Kirkland\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe have been made aware of an overnight incident involving Cameron Batson and are currently gathering information from law enforcement agencies,\u201d In a statement, the Falcons stated. \u201cWe take this matter seriously and have no further comment at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Batson was only slightly injured.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Batson, a Texas Tech graduate, is in his first season with the Falcons.
