He wrote a letter to Matt Luka (the attorney for Laundrie) earlier this month, informing him of the materials he wanted from the Laundrie clan in a civil suit.<\/p>\n<p>This letter, which was made public, refers to a letter Roberta Laundrie allegedly wrote her son Fox News, several months back. Reilly wanted to get it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/gabby-petito-parents-attorney-claims-court-filing-roberta-laundrie-offered-lend-son-shovel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. The letter was apparently titled \u201cburn after reading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis request certainly would also include the note that Roberta Laundrie wrote to Brian Laundrie, [in] which she offered to bring a shovel to help bury the body,\u201d Reilly wrote. \u201cThe note was released to the custody of Mr. Bertolino on Friday, June 24, 2022 by the FBI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox News&#8217; Reilly stated that he could not describe the contents of the letter because he was uncomfortable. \u201cvery specific.\u201d He stated that he believed the letter proved that Roberta Laundrie was alive and well. \u201cknew of Gabby\u2019s murder before Gabby\u2019s body was located.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steve Bertolino, the Laundries\u2019 longtime family attorney, told Fox News that the allegations were \u201cnot based on fact but on conjecture only,\u201d The letter claimed that it was written before the murder occurred.<\/p>\n<p>Petitio\u2019s parents have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gabby-petitos-parents-sue-laundrie-family-lawyer-he-knew-she-was-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed a lawsuit<\/a> Bertolino claimed he knew their daughter was deceased when he stated publicly that the Laundrie clan hoped \u201cthat the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is reunited with her family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On July 2, 2021, Gabby Petito left New York with her fianc\u00e9, Brian Laundrie. They went on a road trip to Colorado, Utah and Utah. On August 12, a park ranger from Utah\u2019s Arches National Park\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/park-ranger-warned-gabby-petito-of-toxic-relationship-urged-her-to-find-another-path-before-disappearance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">warned<\/a>\u00a0Gabby Petito said that Brian Laundrie is her partner. \u201ctoxic\u201d She was urged to \u201cfind another path.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Petito was last seen alive on August 27, 2021 at a Jackson Hole restaurant in Wyoming. Petito received a text from her phone on August 30, \u201cNo service in Yosemite.\u201d Spread Creek campground found human remains that matched her description on September 19. The FBI\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-fbi-confirms-body-found-in-wyoming-is-gabby-petito-rules-death-a-homicide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed<\/a>\u00a0They determined that the body belonged to her and ruled that it was a homicide.<\/p>\n<p>But prior to the discovery of Gabby Petito\u2019s body, on September 14, 2021, Bertolino released a statement in which he said:<\/p>\n<p><em>This is an understandable time of great difficulty for both the Petito and Laundrie Families. According to our knowledge, Miss Petito has been located in Wyoming&#8217;s Grand Teton National Park. We hope that Miss Petito&#8217;s search is successful, and that she is reunited with her loved ones. The Laundrie family will not comment further on this matter, as counsel advised.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The new lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11509477\/Gabby-Petitos-parents-sue-Brian-Laudries-parents-LAWYER-Steven-Bertolino.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claims<\/a> of Laundrie\u2019s parents, \u201cWhen they did choose to speak, it was through statements issued by Steven Bertolino.
