He also sent encouragement to others who may be suffering from addiction to get help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m celebrating 47 years today of sobriety,\u201d Hopkins explained. \u201cBut this is a message not meant to be heavy, but I hope helpful. I am a recovering alcoholic. And to you out there \u2014 I know there are people struggling. In this day and age of cancel and hatred and non-compromise, children being bullied, I say \u2026 be kind to yourself. Be kind. Stay out of the circle of toxicity with people, if they offend you. Live your life. He shared that it wasn\u2019t until he finally acknowledged \u201cthat there was something really wrong\u201d He was there to help him turn his life around.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted that he didn\u2019t know the \u201cmental, physical, emotional condition called alcoholism, or addiction\u201d He shared the fact that he was suffering from a condition. \u201cfound a life where no one bullies me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSilence of the Lambs\u201d The star directed his message to \u201cyoung people\u201d Bullied and said \u201cDon\u2019t listen to them.\u00a0Don\u2019t let yourself be put down,\u201d This is an additional feature \u201clife is tough.\u201d He also stated that any problem or addiction can be treated with the help of a professional. \u201ctalk to someone\u201d Get help.<\/p>\n<p>Oscar-winning actor shared his thoughts on the subject previously. \u201cwake-up call\u201d In 1975, he was 37 years old. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-11584969\/Sir-Anthony-Hopkins-reflects-47-years-sobriety-new-video-headed-disaster.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>In a video that he posted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CJZNp2EHWSH\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>\u00a0Hopkins acknowledged that Hopkins had admitted to the same subject two years ago. \u201cwas heading for disaster\u201d He said that he \u201cwas drinking myself to death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then, he received a message from his brain asking him if he was interested. \u201cto live or die.\u201d He said he chose to live and it turned his life around, calling the time he\u2019s had since \u201camazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou young people, don\u2019t give up, just keep in there, just keep fighting,\u201d He ended the video. \u201cBe bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time this was published, the Thursday clip had already been viewed more that 1.3 million of times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hollywood star Anthony Hopkins shared an inspiring video with followers about how he\u2019s a \u201crecovering alcoholic\u201d as he celebrated 47 years of sobriety.
