Cosby stated that he wants to start a new career. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/comedy\">comedy<\/a> Start your tour in 2023\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, because there\u2019s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do,\u201d Cosby shared his thoughts about his tour plans. \u201cWhen I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actor\u2019s publicist Andrew Wyatt confirmed this information to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/bill-cosby-return-to-touring-2023-1235288267\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re looking at getting back out here around Spring\/Summer of 2023,\u201d The publication was informed by him.<\/p>\n<p>This news comes after a string of legal battles for the star \u201cThe Cosby Show.\u201d More than 50 women made sexual assault claims against Cosby in 2014. The next year he was charged with the assault of Andrea Constand, a former director of operations for Temple University\u2019s women\u2019s basketball team. After being found guilty, Constand was sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison. However, he was released in 2021 following a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling that his conviction was invalidated for an unfair violation or due process.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it would not review Cosby\u2019s sexual assault case.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, \u201cCosby Show\u201d Cosby was again accused of assault, battery and infliction or emotional distress. They had filed allegations previously but are now introducing a new civil suit filed under New York\u2019s Adult Survivors Act, which gives survivors of sexual abuse a one-year window to sue even if the statute of limitations on their allegations has expired, per <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/celebrity\/bill-cosby-wants-to-return-to-touring-in-2023-despite-new-sexual-assault-allegations\/\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cosby made a statement denying these claims. He stated, according to EW \u201cAs we have always stated, and now America can see, this isn\u2019t about justice for victims of alleged sexual assault; it\u2019s ALL ABOUT MONEY. We believe that the courts, as well as the court of public opinion, will follow the rules of law and relieve Mr. Cosby of these alleged accusations.
