Holmes, 45, and Amy Robach, 49, both of whom were married to others, and the couple was suspended from their jobs, Holmes has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Marilee Fiebig.<\/p>\n<p>Robach and her husband Andrew Shue have also been married since 2010. Before serving as the show\u2019s host, Robach started with GMA as a correspondent in 2012; Holmes joined the network in September 2014 to serve as an anchor on \u201cWorld News Now\u201d and shortly thereafter as a correspondent for \u201cGMA\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGMA\u201d anchor Robin Roberts reportedly was apprised of the relationship before it became public and told the couple to \u201cstop it,\u201d The Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11581221\/T-J-Holmes-45-files-divorce-wife-12-years-affair-GMA-host.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On November 30, The Daily Mail published an exclusive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11478421\/GMA-hosts-Amy-Robach-T-J-Holmes-seen-looking-cozy-NYC-secret-romance-revealed.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> alleging that the two anchors, both of whom married with children, were \u201clocked in a passionate romance despite both being married to their respective spouses for the past 12 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on an editorial call, ABC News President Kim Godwin announced the couple had been removed, calling her imbroglio an \u201cinternal and external distraction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim argued that the relationship had not violated company policy but said, \u201cI have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/12\/05\/GMA-AMY-ROBACH-TJ-HOLMES-TAKEN-OFF-AIR-RELATIONSHIP\/?ADID=SOCIAL-FB&#038;FBCLID=IWAR31OQUZZ0SHRJMUV6TGZGNTKLVUOUKX0F2LEAKE9ML-QSL80XJHXI7D1QS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TMZ<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is something I\u2019m not going to talk, we\u2019re not going to talk about on this call until there is more to be said,\u201d Kim reportedly warned. \u201cI\u2019m asking that we stop the whispering in the hallways. You know, we can\u2019t operate with gossip, and speculation and rumors. We need to stay focused on the work. \u2026 If you think there is something that management needs to know, you can always call HR or, as we\u2019ve said, talk to a manager that you trust. If you think there is something that we need to know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A representative for Holmes and Robach stated, \u201cThey had been close friends for many years but this relationship started over the past few months, after they separated from their respective spouses in August. They had not told anyone, even at ABC, because they were waiting until they both were divorced,\u201d according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/12\/05\/business\/media\/abc-news-holmes-robach.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Holmes, 45, has a nine-year-old daughter with wife, attorney Marilee Fiebig, 44, and another daughter and son from a prior relationship; Robach, 49, has two daughters from her first marriage and her husband, former Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue, 55, has three sons.<\/p>\n<p>After the report of their alleged affair went public, the couple bantered on the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, it\u2019s too bad it\u2019s Friday. It\u2019s been a great week,\u201d Holmes quipped, prompting Robach to giggle, \u201cIs it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want this one to keep going and going and going,\u201d Holmes insisted. \u201cJust enjoy it. Take it all in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpeak for yourself.\u00a0I\u2019m excited about the weekend. And I\u2019m sure everyone else is too,\u201d Robach responded, adding, \u201cWe all love our Fridays around here.
