They must submit the requests again next month, when they will be in the majority.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Richard Sauber, the administration attorney, sent Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and James Comer of Kentucky. This is a serious blow because both men are involved in an investigation. <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/congress\/house-republicans-demand-40-officials-answer-about-covid-origins\">made<\/a> multiple executive branch <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/accountability\/jordan-demands-fbi-turn-over-all-communications-twitter-probe-censorship-heats\">requests<\/a> According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/12\/29\/jim-jordan-james-comer-oversight-requests-00075710\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The oversight powers of Congress do not apply &#8220;individual members of Congress who are not committee chairmen, and the House has not done so under its current Rules,&#8221; This means that the Republicans&#8217; demands are not ones &#8220;to which the constitutional accommodation obligations&#8221; require the White House to respond,\u00a0Sauber wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Except during congressional hearings, the Biden administration had mostly ignored Republican oversight requests.
