Santos falsely claimed that he had graduated from Baruch College, worked at Citibank and Goldman Sachs.\u00a0After an investigation by the New York Times revealed major portions of his biography were fabricated, Santos\u2019 purported employers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/embattled-gop-congressman-elect-george-santos-fires-back-new-york-times-biography-questioned\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed to Fox News<\/a> Baruch College claimed that he has never worked for them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with the New York Post on Monday, Santos confessed that he had lied to them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am not a criminal,&#8221; He said. &#8220;I\u2019m embarrassed, and sorry for having embellished my r\u00e9sum\u00e9.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Rep.-elect George Santos, R-N.Y., has admitted to lying about his r\u00e9sum\u00e9 on the campaign trail.
