People fear traveling or speaking in public, so they don&#8217;t go.<\/p>\n<p class=\"richText\">\u201cPeople\u2019s fear of failure prevents them from pursuing some of the things they most ache to do. The list is almost endless,\u201d Prager states.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion then turns to why people act irrationally, as the PragerU cofounder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"richText\">Although many people fear flying, far more people die in an accident at home or in the car than in flight. \u201cBut because of their irrational fear of flying, they won\u2019t fly or will do so very rarely. As a result, they see family members and friends who live far away less often than they would like, and they will never see almost any of the world,\u201d Prager explains.<\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic was a case of irrational fear. It led to people being kept indoors for up to two years. Researchers continue to discover the impact of the pandemic\u2019s separation on Americans, including increases in depression and suicide.<\/p>\n<p>Prager then addressed the issue of \u201cHow do I conquer my fears?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"richText\">He advises viewers not to fear but to think rationally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"richText\">Humans, unlike animals, are able to overcome their fears and make positive changes to their lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"richText\">Prager reminds viewers, however, that President Franklin Roosevelt once told the American people what he had said during the Great Depression. \u201cWe have nothing to fear but fear itself.\u201d He recommends that people who are looking to live a fulfilled and fulfilling life now take on a similar challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Fear can be a strong emotion that drives people to defend themselves against danger. The same emotion can cause people to make irrational and unfulfilling choices, which can hinder them from living a happy life.
