It will continue for five months until July 1.<\/p>\n<p>The Group of Seven (G7) nations, alongside Australia and the European Union, agreed last month to a price cap of $60 per barrel of Russian\u00a0seaborne crude oil as a means of reducing <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/saudi-arabia-blasts-anonymous-report-that-they-are-boosting-oil-production-after-mbs-immunity-deal\">Russia&#8217;s income<\/a> Oil sales are a response to the ongoing and <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/more-than-half-of-congressional-gop-did-not-attend-zelenskys-prime-time-address\">widely-opposed<\/a> Krieg with Ukraine<\/p>\n<p>Since December 5, when the price cap went into effect, governments have been waiting for an answer from the Kremlin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This Executive Order was signed in\u00a0response to\u00a0the\u00a0unfriendly actions taken by\u00a0the\u00a0United States, other foreign states and\u00a0international organisations that sided with them,&#8221; This notice was taken from the government website.<\/p>\n<p>Directly refer to &#8220;price limit mechanism&#8221; The Kremlin claims that the Kremlin was established by foreign countries. &#8220;Russia bans the\u00a0sale of\u00a0oil and\u00a0oil products to\u00a0foreign companies and\u00a0individuals if the\u00a0contracts on\u00a0these sales include the\u00a0use of\u00a0this mechanism directly or\u00a0indirectly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The\u00a0established ban applies to\u00a0all stages of\u00a0sales up to\u00a0and\u00a0including the\u00a0final buyer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The\u00a0ban on\u00a0sales of\u00a0Russian oil products, as\u00a0established by\u00a0the\u00a0current Executive Order, is to\u00a0be applied on\u00a0the\u00a0date determined by\u00a0the\u00a0Government of\u00a0the\u00a0Russian Federation but no earlier than the\u00a0date of\u00a0its entry into force,&#8221; The notice states.<\/p>\n<p>Putin said that the ban could be overturned if necessary, but added that &#8220;Russian oil and\u00a0oil product sales, that are banned by\u00a0the\u00a0Executive Order, may be carried out under a\u00a0special decision of\u00a0the\u00a0President of\u00a0the\u00a0Russian Federation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The West has taken an unprecedented step to limit oil prices.
