Federal Network Agency authorities believe that remote consumption restrictions should be implemented on certain devices.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the agency claims that this resulted in an increase in sales. \u201cacceptance of necessary comfort restrictions\u201d on the part of the general public is now required, with it to be mandated that heat pumps \u2014 often used to heat homes and hot water \u2014 as well as electric car chargers, become remotely controllable by energy grid operators.<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence that such devices could ever be remotely shut off, but the Federal Network Agency plans to make it mandatory that such devices be remotely limited.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Germany&#8217;s government agency has unveiled a new scheme to allow power suppliers to limit electric car charging and home heating remotely.
