He\u00a0ordered Hobbs\u2019s side to file a statement of costs and motion for sanctions before Dec. 26.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 27, Thompson found that there wasn\u2019t enough evidence of misconduct by Maricopa County to overturn election results in the county. He ruled days after Lake had filed her lawsuit. Thompson also allowed Thompson to give two of the 10 election claims a two-day trial.<\/p>\n<p>According to election data Lake lost to Hobbs by approximately 17,000 votes. Lake brought a lawsuit against Hobbs as she was the current secretary-state, Maricopa County election officials and other officials shortly after the midterms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am standing up for the people of this state, the people who were done wrong on Election Day, and the millions of people who live outside of Maricopa County, whose vote was watered down by this bogus election in Maricopa County,\u201d Lake <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KariLake\/status\/1607887863877701632?s=20\">told<\/a> Steve Bannon\u2019s \u201cWar Room\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n<p>A poll worker collects tabulated ballots for boxing at the Maricopa County Recorders Office.
