The group was created after angry parents protested at school board meetings throughout the country, asking for an end to mask mandates. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/coronavirus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID-19<\/a> school closures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only power you have is to hire your superintendent and you direct him through policy. \u2026They have liberal <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">school<\/a> boards with liberal superintendents that haven\u2019t made any good policy,\u201d She spoke. \u201cBoards are changing their superintendents sometimes at their very first meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berkeley County was the victim. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/south-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South Carolina<\/a> In, the newly elected board members formed a majority which fired the Superintendent <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.postandcourier.com\/news\/new-berkeley-county-school-board-fires-superintendent-hires-replacement-at-first-meeting\/article_78fbc8aa-6550-11ed-a81b-638db724d27e.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deon Jackson<\/a> Jackson was replaced by another person at the first meeting. Jackson called this move &#8220;a&#8221;. \u201cplot\u201d  <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews4.com\/news\/local\/former-bcsd-berkeley-county-school-district-superintendent-deon-jackson-speaks-for-the-first-time-since-firing-mac-mcquillin-wciv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threatened to sue<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>Board members said Jackson <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews4.com\/news\/local\/berkeley-county-school-district-bcsd-board-of-trustees-chair-mac-mcquillin-cites-academic-struggles-strained-relationship-with-sled-dss-for-superintendent-deon-jackson-firing-dr-anthony-dixon-stratford-high-school-sro-wciv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was fired<\/a> Deteriorating relationships with child protection agencies and school police, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Moms for Liberty has a philosophy that seeks to identify school policies that encourage critical race theory. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/transgender\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transgenderism<\/a> LGBTQ rights and sexuality issues.
