The NFL is currently reviewing his latest offense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">During New England\u2019s loss to the Bengals on Saturday, Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt scooped up what he thought was a fumble and raced toward the end zone for a touchdown. The play was eventually ruled incomplete. However, Pratt was pursued by Mac Jones during the play. Instead of running after Pratt, Mac Jones turned abruptly and dived at Cincinnati defender Eli Apple who was also following the play.<\/p>\n<p>Pro Football Talk reports that this play currently is not in production <a href=\"https:\/\/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com\/2022\/12\/25\/league-will-review-mac-jones-low-block-on-eli-apple-for-potential-discipline\/\">under review<\/a> By the league.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019d argue this is worthy of a suspension and a big fine from Mac Jones.<\/p>\n<p>This is a shockingly dirty place. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IhPh0m8r8K\">pic.twitter.com\/IhPh0m8r8K<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Blake Jewell (@BlakeJewellNFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BlakeJewellNFL\/status\/1606850093939920896?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 25, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The most striking part of the play, however, is that Jones does not make a play against the ball. Both Jones and Apple have lost their position. So why take a shot at a player\u2019s knees like that? Risking serious injury? What?<\/p>\n<p>It may not be worthy of a suspension, but it is definitely dirty, and Jones needs to be \u2013 at least \u2013 given a fine and a stern warning.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also not the first time Jones has been observed doing unsportsmanlike\/dirty things on the football field. Last year, he reached up and pulled Carolina\u2019s Brian Burns down by his ankle.
