His disciples asked him, \u201cRabbi,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>who sinned,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>this man<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>or his parents,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>that he was born blind?\u201d<\/em> <em>\u201cNeither this man nor his parents sinned,\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Jesus said,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cbut this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.<\/em> <em>While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.\u201d <\/em><em>After uttering this, he spits<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man\u2019s eyes. <\/em><em>\u201cGo,\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>He told him:<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cwash in the Pool of Siloam\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>This is what this word means \u201cSent\u201d). This is the original settlement site of Jerusalem and lies south of the Temple Mount.
