She later explained that the change in leadership at Hallmark had factored into her decision \u2014 as did her personal faith and her desire to keep telling stories with traditional marriage at the center of the story.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cFuller House\u201d star\u2019s comments drew backlash from a number of people, ranging from long-time co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/candace-cameron-bure-unfollows-jodie-sweetin-as-she-backs-jojo-siwa-in-traditional-marriage-controversy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jodie Sweetin<\/a>\u00a0To \u201cOne Tree Hill\u201d Former Hallmark actress <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/make-your-money-honey-one-tree-hill-actress-slams-candace-cameron-bure-over-marriage-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hilarie Burton Morgan<\/a>. Actor Neal Bledsoe was also a Great American Family actor. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/my-choice-is-clear-great-american-family-actor-exits-stage-left-over-candace-cameron-bure-marriage-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abruptly cut ties<\/a> with the network in the wake of Bure\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n<p>Chabert, who took over some of the Christmas promotional duties in Bure\u2019s absence, defended Hallmark. She claimed that she had \u201cfound a real home\u201d Chabert shared his thoughts on the channel in a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/article\/lacey-chabert-interview-hallmark-christmas-movies.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> Vulture \u201cI\u2019m able to be more of who I am here than possibly anywhere else I\u2019ve worked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny shift I\u2019ve felt has been embracing our creative ideas,\u201d Chabert said, responding to Bure\u2019s claim that the change in leadership at Hallmark had made the network a very different place. \u201cAnd it\u2019s my responsibility to the audience who continue to tune into my movies that I give the best I have to offer. That\u2019s always my mission. I\u2019ll never abandon what Hallmark means for me, which is that everything is centered around the heart. I don\u2019t think there are any plans for that to change anytime soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMean Girls\u201d The Hallmark Channel alum declined to comment further. However, she explained that she had no ill will towards the actresses and actors who left the Hallmark Channel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know what, I wish everybody the best.
