Instead of fighting an evil criminal mastermind played by Alan Rickman, Ukraine is in a very real war with Russia, which invaded the country in February.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u201cThis Christmas, Ukraine celebrates the festive tale of how an arrogant terrorist\u2019s special military operation was thwarted by a scrappy underdog,\u201d the video begins.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An underdog who wins against the bad guys. This is the kind of story we all enjoy. <br \/>Dedicated to all the die hards on the front line. <br \/>Ukraine will win!<br \/>Yippee Ki-Yay\u2026! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JaZzqlOZA7\">pic.twitter.com\/JaZzqlOZA7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Defense of Ukraine (@DefenceU) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DefenceU\/status\/1607290106242830339?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">In a twist on an iconic scene from the movie, where Willis\u2019 character scrawls \u201cNow I have a machine gun \u2013 Ho Ho Ho,\u201d on a dead terrorist\u2019s sweatshirt, the Ukrainian video replaces the firearm reference with \u201cHIMARS,\u201d the acronym for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System launchers the U.S. is supplying.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The video includes a clip of Willis as McClane crawling through ductwork before dropping explosives down an elevator shaft, then cuts to a real bomb going off in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u201cIt was the perfect plan with nothing left to chance, until it all went wrong,\u201d the narrator states in English. \u201cThe war he never wanted, is the one he can\u2019t afford to lose. This Christmas, the age-old story of David and Goliath hits close to home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The defense ministry captioned the video with the movie-style tagline, minus McClane\u2019s famous expletive: \u201cAn underdog who wins against the bad guys.
