He was 37.<\/p>\n<p>His demise was announced in a memo that ABC News President Kim Godwin sent out to the workforce on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Hollywood Reporter, Godwin added, &#8220;It is with a heavy heart and tremendous regret that we share that our friend and colleague, Dax Tejera, passed tragically abruptly last night after a heart attack.&#8221; More information would be released in the following days, according to the document.<\/p>\n<p>Tejera worked for NBC News, MSNBC, and Fusion before joining ABC News in 2017.
