He agreed to do so. She told Mr. Herschmann that she was desperate, had no money and needed to find a lawyer. Mr. Herschmann never put her in contact with any lawyer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one discussed her testimony with Mr. Herschmann, nor did anyone ever try to confirm with him whether her testimony was accurate. The only thing he ever said to her about her testimony was to be truthful,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cThe idea that Mr. Herschmann needed or wanted any \u2018protection\u2019 from Cassidv Hutchinson or anyone else is ludicrous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In a statement, a spokesperson for lawyer Eric Herschmann called Hutchinson\u2019s testimony \u201cnot accurate.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BCwDh0gqf9\">https:\/\/t.co\/BCwDh0gqf9<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KdAIzsxD8V\">pic.twitter.com\/KdAIzsxD8V<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Luke Broadwater\u2600\ufe0f (@lukebroadwater) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lukebroadwater\/status\/1606058583988137985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 22, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Herschmann <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-top-former-white-house-lawyer-delivers-devastating-blow-to-cassidy-hutchinson-testimony\">delivered<\/a> a damaging blow to Hutchinson\u2019s testimony against former President Donald Trump over the summer when she claimed that she wrote a note that stated, \u201cAnyone who entered the Capitol without proper authority should leave immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Herschmann says that he is the one that wrote the note, not Hutchinson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe handwritten note that Cassidy Hutchinson testified was written by her was in fact written by Eric Herschmann on January 6, 2021,\u201d a spokesperson for Eric Herschmann told ABC News. \u201cAll sources with direct knowledge and law enforcement have and will confirm that it was written by Mr. Herschmann.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone that has ever worked with Eric Herschmann knows that the handwriting on that note is his,\u201d political strategist Arthur Schwartz wrote on Twitter. \u201cCassidy lied through her teeth and Liz Cheney knew she was lying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Herschmann also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/meet-the-man-who-warned-trump-he-would-face-serious-consequences-if-he-did-not-return-u-s-records-report\">warned<\/a> Trump after the president was out of the White House that he needed to return government records that he took with him to Mar-a-Lago and that a failure to do so would leave him highly vulnerable to legal actions, including a full-blown criminal investigation, being taken against him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann slammed a key witness for the Democrat-led January 6 House committee, saying that some of her key claims were completely false.
