She and her husband Daryl Sabara currently share a son, 1-year-old Riley.<\/p>\n<p>When the interviewer asked what Trainor wanted to accomplish for the upcoming year, she replied that taking the next steps to grow her family was a top priority. \u201cHopefully, I\u2019ll be pregnant. I\u2019m trying to make four children, so I\u2019ve got to get on it,\u201d the \u201cMade You Look\u201d singer explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter having a baby, I was like, there\u2019s nothing I can\u2019t do,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo now I\u2019m just trying to knock off all my dreams on my dream list.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The singer is eager to have more children even after some scary experiences following the birth of her son in February 2021.<\/p>\n<p>First, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Then her baby was in the breech position, which led to her delivering via c-section. Riley developed \u201cbreathing issues\u201d after birth and was rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where he was put on a feeding tube for some time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was one of those horror stories where he didn\u2019t cry,\u201d Trainor said of the experience, per <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/06\/03\/meghan-trainor-details-sons-terrifying-birth\/\">Page Six<\/a>. \u201cHe didn\u2019t make noise when he came out. I was like, \u2018Why isn\u2019t he crying?\u2019 It was terrifying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got to see him for one second before they took him away,\u201d she continued. \u201cThat was probably the worst part.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAll About That Bass\u201d singer also discussed how some of the nurses seemed to imply that Riley was very sleepy when he was born because she had been taking antidepressants during her pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey kept asking me if I was on antidepressants during the pregnancy, and I was, but on the lowest dose possible, and all my doctors said it was safe and wouldn\u2019t affect him,\u201d Trainor said, as The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/meghan-trainor-says-nurses-implied-that-antidepressants-affected-her-newborn-son-he-just-wouldnt-wake-up\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was really f***ed up. They had no name for what was wrong. He just wouldn\u2019t wake up,\u201d the 28-year-old star continued. \u201cThey said, \u2018It\u2019s really up to Riley when he wants to wake up.\u2019 I\u2019d be like \u2018Really? Can\u2019t you just zap him and get him up?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trainor also expressed her desire to homeschool her children for safety reasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot to get dark here, but [in regular schools, you have to worry about] guns and all that stuff.
