And it certainly won\u2019t be his last. Already, Zelensky is prepared to use his congressional address to complain that the beaucoup bucks the U.S. has thrown at Ukraine in the last 10 months \u2014 more than $100 billion total if the omnibus passes \u2014 is still <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ByronYork\/status\/1605540391960420353?s=20&#038;t=GQG5crQHpSbROn4GPJaeSQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cnot enough.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite the financial strain Ukraine has put on the United States, the swamp is ready to welcome Zelensky with open arms. You wouldn\u2019t know it from corporate media coverage, but that\u2019s problematic. Here\u2019s why. <\/p>\n<p> Americans Simply Don\u2019t Approve <\/p>\n<p>Contrary to Mitch McConnell\u2019s claims, spending taxpayer dollars on a proxy war in Eastern Europe is not high on the priority list for <a href=\"https:\/\/morningconsult.com\/2022\/11\/29\/united-states-foreign-policy-expectations-democrats-republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Republican or Democrat voters<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">McConnell: &#8220;Providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now according to most Republicans. That&#8217;s how we see the challenges confronting the country at the moment.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NPmzWRzoz1\">pic.twitter.com\/NPmzWRzoz1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Price (@greg_price11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1605301253952589824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 20, 2022<\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>If Americans overwhelmingly reject going to war with Russia on behalf of Ukraine, which <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/11\/americans-dont-want-war-with-russia-but-republicans-and-democrats-are-forcing-it-anyway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">polling since the beginning of the conflict<\/a> has said they do, Congress shouldn\u2019t be spending money that indicates the U.S. is willing to prolong a war <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/12\/05\/under-joe-biden-threat-of-nuclear-war-has-gone-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by whatever means necessary<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p> Throwing Dollars at Ukraine Escalates Rather than Ends the War <\/p>\n<p>Nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/globalaffairs.org\/research\/public-opinion-survey\/growing-us-divide-how-long-support-ukraine?utm_source=media&#038;utm_campaign=rpt&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_term=fall-Ukraine-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">half of Americans<\/a> want their government to urge Ukraine to negotiate a peace settlement. Instead of heeding the voters\u2019 wishes, the Swamp extends Ukraine\u2019s ability to fight with more funds, weapons, and verbal support. Money for Zelensky solidifies U.S. involvement in a war that Congress never voted to declare. <\/p>\n<p> Cash for Ukraine Takes Away from Necessary U.S. Spending <\/p>\n<p>While Congress funnels tens of billions of dollars to protect the border of a foreign country, our country\u2019s border is virtually nonexistent. Each day, thousands of illegal border crossers pour into the southern United States.<\/p>\n<p>These migrants put a physical and financial strain on our immigration system and cities all around the nation. Yet Congress, specifically Senate Republicans, repeatedly refuse to leverage their influence for funding to secure our border. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Senate Republicans could stop this by demanding border security before voting for the Biden &#8220;omnibus.&#8221; Instead, they are voting for a budget that *prohibits* Border Patrol from securing the border! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ugDlDxxLQz\">https:\/\/t.co\/ugDlDxxLQz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep.
