The commission found Amazon relied on the sellers&#8217; information to make business decisions about its own products, preventing fair competition.<\/p>\n<p>In a second investigation, the Commission &#8220;preliminarily concluded that\u00a0Amazon&#8217;s rules and criteria for the Buy Box and Prime unduly [favor] its own retail business, as well as marketplace sellers that use Amazon&#8217;s logistics and delivery services,&#8221; according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_22_7777\">EU press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Buy Box is the &#8220;Add to Cart&#8221; and &#8220;Buy Now&#8221; section on an Amazon listing from a specific seller.
