Lake claims there were tabulator breakdowns at over 59% of the voting centers within the county on Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>The court granted Lake\u2019s request to inspect some ballots within the county from Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>Those ballots will include 150 randomly selected early ballots, \u201cballot-on-demand\u201d printed ballots, and \u201cballot-on-demand\u201d printed ballots marked as spoiled on Election Day from six Maricopa County vote centers chosen by Lake\u2019s representative.<\/p>\n<p>Hobbs\u2019 attorney argued that her former election opponent lacks evidence to support the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the end, Your Honor, if there is anything rotten in Arizona, it is what this contest represents,\u201d said Abha Khanna, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox10phoenix.com\/news\/arizona-judges-hold-hearings-over-2022-elections-latest-updates\">local media<\/a>. \u201cFor the past several years our democracy and its basic guiding principles have been under sustained assault from candidates who just cannot or will not accept the fact that they lost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maricopa County attorneys reportedly argued affidavits from voters showed they had to wait in longer-than-normal lines to cast their ballots but decried any election misconduct or evidence to support such fraudulent claims, including Lake\u2019s lawyers misunderstood\u00a0how the county\u2019s chain-of-custody process works.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis allegation is false, and will be easily disproven by the County if necessary,\u201d Maricopa County lawyers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clerkofcourt.maricopa.gov\/home\/showpublisheddocument\/4321\/638067137081570000\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cPlaintiff reviewed the County\u2019s Early Voting Ballot Transport Statements, but the chain of custody documents for election day are different because the process for early ballot delivery is different on election day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following Thompson\u2019s ruling, Lake took to Twitter, slamming legacy media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Fake News is in FULL Desperation-Mode,\u201d Lake said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KariLake\/status\/1605053563289231360\">tweet<\/a>. \u201cThese headlines are almost comical. Bottom line\u2014our Election Case is going to Trial starting on Wednesday. @KatieHobbs &#038; @stephen_richer will be taking the stand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a separate <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KariLake\/status\/1605036082755645440\">tweet<\/a>, Lake said, \u201cBuckle up, America.
