Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny granted the pop star\u2019s petition to have the agreement terminated.<\/p>\n<p>Penny\u2019s order followed a hearing that September in which she suspended Jamie Spears from having control over Britney\u2019s roughly $60 million estate. In Jamie Spears\u2019 place, Penny appointed a certified public accountant.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Spears, 70, gave the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11549597\/Jamie-insists-Britney-Spears-controversial-13-year-conservatorship-saved-ruin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> to the Daily Mail, which said it was Spears\u2019 first interview in more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot everybody\u2019s going to agree with me,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don\u2019t know if she\u2019d be alive. I don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor protecting her, and also protecting the kids, conservatorship was a great tool,\u201d he continued. \u201cWithout it, I don\u2019t think she would have got the kids back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report said that Spears now lives with his other daughter, Jamie Lynn, who is Britney Spears\u2019 younger sister. He said that he doesn\u2019t have a lot of contact with Britney Spears\u2019 two sons, which has been hard on him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI miss my two boys really, really bad,\u201d he said. \u201cI do. You know, we were very, very close. They were around that age where you could start having a good time with them. But they were developing a mind of their own. God makes things happen for a reason. I don\u2019t know what that reason is but it\u2019s been a tough three years without them. The family\u2019s a mess. All we can do is keep praying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Spears said that the conservatorship was needed to protect the two boys, and said that there were positive family moments along the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe could take the kids to Europe. They didn\u2019t miss time with their mother. They didn\u2019t miss time with their father. Not many people knew that. The main purpose was to get Britney back with her kids in a comfortable relationship,\u201d he said. \u201cWe did everything in the world with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Spears said that most people \u201cdon\u2019t have a clue what the truth is\u201d regarding what personal things went on behind the scenes in reference to the conservatorship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe media has not heard the truth. They\u2019ve heard the allegations from Britney,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t mind taking that beating because I know it\u2019s not true, and because I don\u2019t want to start something else.
