She also has directed episodes of <em>Nashville<\/em>, <em>Desperate Housewives<\/em>, <em>Shameless<\/em>, <em>Rectify<\/em>, and <em>Glee<\/em>. She also directed <em>The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2<\/em>, <em>Just Wright<\/em>, and <em>Something New<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Hooper\u2019s credits include the miniseries <em>Flesh and Blood<\/em>. She\u2019s also worked on <em>The Sandman<\/em>, <em>The Witcher<\/em>, <em>Inside No. 9<\/em>, and <em>Treason<\/em>. Hamri and Hooper will both be directing two episodes each.<\/p>\n<p>Season 1 directors J.A. However, back in October showrunners Patrick McKay and JD Payne did indicate Sauron will be playing a major role.<\/p>\n<p>Payne told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/rings-of-power-sauron-season-2-lotr-1235240809\/#!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, \u201cSeason one opens with: Who is Galadriel? Where did she come from? What did she suffer? Why is she driven? We\u2019re doing the same thing with Sauron in season two. We\u2019ll fill in all the missing pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McKay added, \u201cSauron can now just be Sauron. Like Tony Soprano or Walter White. He\u2019s evil, but complexly evil. We felt like if we did that in season one, he\u2019d overshadow everything else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the first season is like\u00a0<em>Batman Begins<\/em>, and the\u00a0<em>The Dark Knight<\/em> is the next movie, with Sauron maneuvering out in the open. We\u2019re really excited. Season two has a canonical story.
