I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way,\u201d she added. \u201cI am confident that it played a role in the good news. I\u2019m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe effects wore off just as I went to D.C. for the first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays rally,\u201d Fonda continued. \u201cThank heavens for that because it was a busy week. Besides the rally, I did some lobbying and spoke twice at the Democracy Alliance all in an effort to stop Senator Joe Manchin\u2019s side deal which climate activists call the Dirty Deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In September, the \u201cGrace and Frankie\u201d star shared in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CiBDKLeJBy_\/\">social media post<\/a> her diagnosis and how\u00a0she was planning to do chemo for six months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share,\u201d the actress wrote. \u201cI\u2019ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin\u2019s Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments. This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m also lucky because I have health insurance and access to the best doctors and treatments,\u201d she added at the time. \u201cI realize, and it\u2019s painful, that I am privileged in this.
