The spot features real voters explaining why they don\u2019t want Biden, 80, to run again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t afford to risk the White House to a Republican who could defeat Status Quo Joe,\u201d said one New Hampshire voter as images on the screen showed former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, often mentioned as a frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m concerned with Joe Biden\u2019s low polling,\u201d said another voter.<\/p>\n<p>Another said with Biden\u2019s \u201clow popularity, he\u2019s way too much of a gamble.\u201d And yet another said, \u201cIf he runs, the election is at serious risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And one more says, \u201cOur ideas are way more popular than Joe Biden is.\u201d<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The ad is, of course, spot on. Pollsters with the CNBC All-America Economic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/12\/09\/majority-of-americans-dont-want-biden-or-trump-to-run-again-in-2024-cnbc-survey-shows.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Survey<\/a> last week asked if Biden should run again and 70% said no \u2014 just 19% want him to go again.<\/p>\n<p>When broken down by party, a majority of Democrats (57%) said \u201cDon\u2019t Run, Joe,\u201d along with 66% of independents.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found that 47% of those who don\u2019t think Biden should run cited age as a major reason, including 61% of Democrats and 66% of seniors, CNBC reported. The younger set was different: just 43% of the 18-49 demographic group cite age as a major reason for Biden, 80, not to run.<\/p>\n<p>Biden, whose job approval numbers teeter in the mid-30s, has \u201cvented to allies\u201d about all the talk surrounding his age and the election, according to a report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou think I don\u2019t know how f***ing old I am?\u201d a grumpy Biden said earlier this year, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2022\/12\/13\/2024-campaigns-trump-biden-00073548\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The CNBC poll didn\u2019t bring better news for former President Donald Trump: 61% of the public thinks Trump should not run again (even though he has already announced his bid). In addition, 37% of Republicans don\u2019t want him to run again; 61% of independents and 88% of Democrats agree.<\/p>\n<p>Norman Solomon, a joint founder of RootsAction, said Biden should \u201cheed the voters of his party rather than simply declaring \u2018Watch me run for re-election.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis public approval ratings remain dismal, as they have been all year,\u201d Solomon said in a statement on Twitter. \u201cNo amount of bravado from the White House can change the severe vulnerabilities that a Biden 2024 campaign would face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden also isn\u2019t faring too well with the bookies \u2014 who, unlike pollsters, actually put their money where their mouths are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden\u2019s crushed approval ratings and worsening betting odds are causing Democrats to wonder if he is the right figure to take on Trump in 2024,\u201d said Joe Short of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gambling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gambling<\/a>.com. \u201cAccording to the Wall Street Journal, Democrats expect him to go for a second term at the age of 82, but they\u2019re not sure he should.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The views expressed in this piece are the author\u2019s own and do not necessarily represent those of The Daily Wire.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Joseph Curl has covered politics for 35 years, including 12 years as White House correspondent for a national newspaper.
