Elder remarked during an interview with The Daily Wire that the organization seeks to promote genuine American values in the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot rely on big companies to stand with middle America when it really matters,\u201d the seasoned radio and talk show host commented. \u201cMy co-founders and I, along with some very smart executives in banking and technology, got together to do our own thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bank, which will be backed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, plans to support first responders and the military, as well as offer no-fee accounts, free overdraft protection, and early direct deposit access. The company also created Old Glory Pay; Elder, a recent gubernatorial candidate in California, said that the payment system means the bank does not rely upon third-party entities to send or receive money, rendering customers truly \u201ccancel proof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the hard Left shuts down payments and banking for middle America, they win and we lose,\u201d the Sage of South Central added. \u201cAs my partner John Rich always says, \u2018We have to run for the hills, but first, we have to build it\u2019 \u2026 Middle America now has a \u2018real\u2019 bank that identifies with their values. Middle America also now has a payment solution that will never cancel them for their lawful activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked how many customers have registered for accounts, Elder declined to share specifics, but asserted that interest thus far aligns with the team\u2019s \u201cexpectation of the pent-up demand by those who have felt marginalized.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>News of established banking entities and payment platforms violating the principles of free expression have made national headlines. PayPal, which has deplatformed several organizations and commentators for their political views, recently unveiled a change to its acceptable use policy that would have banned the promotion of \u201cmisinformation\u201d and drawn $2,500 penalties from account holders deemed to be in violation. Within one day of The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-paypal-policy-lets-company-pull-2500-from-users-accounts-if-they-promote-misinformation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reporting<\/a> on the change, however, PayPal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/paypal-reverses-plan-to-fine-users-2500-for-misinformation-after-daily-wire-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reversed<\/a> the guidelines and insisted that the document had been published \u201cin error.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elder remarked that large corporations and other institutions, such as academia, the entertainment industry, and the legacy media, can justify suppressing conservative content and their \u201cability to freely engage in commerce as an act of patriotism\u201d by labeling those outside of leftist orthodoxy as \u201csemi-fascists\u201d and other pejoratives. \u201cWhat \u2018big\u2019 companies continue to show us is that their loud and woke employees can tip the scales of leadership\u2019s major decisions,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe saw this at Disney. We see this at Facebook. We knew this was happening at Twitter, and now Elon has confirmed it. And, we see this is happening at banks and payment processors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Companies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-end-of-conservative-books-amazon-quietly-bans-books-they-deem-offensive-hate-speech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/meta-doubles-down-after-zuckerberg-reveals-how-facebook-censored-hunter-biden-laptop-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> have sanctioned conservatives over their stances on controversial social issues, including the LGBTQ movement and vaccine mandates. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/what-gofundmes-trucker-convoy-targeting-says-about-tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GoFundMe<\/a> seized funds raised for trucker protests in Canada earlier this year, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democrat-senator-happy-about-getting-google-to-suppress-crisis-pregnancy-centers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google<\/a> began suppressing search results for crisis pregnancy centers.
