News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s ludicrous that it\u2019s being spun as something that offended me,\u201d Blunt shared. \u00a0\u201cIt didn\u2019t. I shared the story as lightheartedly as it was meant by Tom [Cruise].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI absolutely adore Tom, he\u2019s a dear friend and he was a total gem to me,\u201d she added. \u201cIt was said as a joke to make me laugh, which it did in a big way. And it\u2019s still something we laugh about to this day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the actress\u2019 recent appearance on the \u201cSmartless\u201d podcast, Blunt talked about the challenges of the role, including acting while wearing a suit that weighed 85 pounds, as previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/i-started-to-cry-hollywood-star-credits-tom-cruises-rather-blunt-advice-with-helping-her-get-through-sci-fi-action-role\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had to wear these really enormous robotic suits, which I think it would have been great if they could have CGI\u2019ed them, but we wanted to do it practically and in a tactile way,\u201d Blunt explained. \u201cWhen you hear the word tactile, you\u2019re like, that sounds nice and cozy. There was nothing cozy about wearing these suits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cJungle Cruise\u201d star said the 85-pound suit, \u201cwas so heavy that the first time I put it on, I just started to cry in front of Tom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe just stared at me and was like, \u2018I know, I know,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not sure how I\u2019m going to get through this shoot,\u2019 and I started to cry,\u201d she added. \u201cI was like, \u2018I\u2019m just feeling a bit panicky about the whole shoot.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe literally goes, he stared at me for a long time not knowing what to do, and he goes, \u2018Come on, stop being such a p***y, OK?&#8217;\u201d Blunt continued. \u201cAnd I did laugh, and then we got through it.
