Florida chief financial officer Jimmy Patronis (R.) this month <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/florida-pulls-2-billion-from-blackrock-in-largest-anti-esg-divestment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">divested<\/a> his state&#8217;s assets from the company, saying BlackRock focuses more on ESG than on producing returns for Floridians. BlackRock was one of <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/sam-bankman-fried-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many left-leaning companies<\/a>\u00a0to invest in the cryptocurrency firm FTX, which went bankrupt last month. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, a Democratic <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/bankman-fried-democratic-donor-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">megadonor<\/a>\u00a0who pledged $1 billion to the party&#8217;s candidates in the midterms, is now under federal investigation for defrauding investors.<\/p>\n<p>BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, meanwhile, faces\u00a0an investigation led by 19 state attorneys general for prioritizing &#8220;left-wing political initiatives over shareholder returns,&#8221; the Washington Free Beacon <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/republican-ags-allege-blackrock-violating-law-with-woke-investing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yee in her statement also calls out Fink&#8217;s politicization of the company.
