The timing of the DEA raid and the fact that criminal charges were never filed against Ablow, coupled with whistleblowers\u2019 claims that the FBI buried evidence against Hunter Biden, raises the question of whether the search was a pretext to recover Hunter\u2019s laptop and protect the Biden family.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While the DEA\u2019s recovery of the second Hunter Biden laptop escaped scrutiny over the last nearly three years, a Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/12\/10\/hunter-biden-plans-defense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a> from Saturday brings that laptop into focus \u2014 and with it questions about the DEA\u2019s seizure of the laptop and agents\u2019 decision to return it to Hunter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Back in the News <\/p>\n<p>In a weekend article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/12\/10\/hunter-biden-plans-defense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">titled<\/a> \u201cSome Hunter Biden Allies Making Plans to go After His Accusers,\u201d The Washington Post reported that Hunter and his closest advisers are plotting an offensive for when Republicans assume control of the House of Representatives in January. The strategy sessions to counter what Biden associates frame as \u201can expected onslaught of investigations by House Republicans\u201d began last September, according to the Post, with a meeting at the California home of Hunter Biden\u2019s friend and lawyer Kevin Morris.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Morris, already famous in the entertainment industry as an attorney for the co-creators of \u201cSouth Park,\u201d gained notoriety when the New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/08\/hollywood-lawyer-kevin-morris-paid-off-over-2m-of-hunter-bidens-taxes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> that Morris \u201cfooted Hunter Biden\u2019s overdue taxes totaling over $2 million.\u201d In addition to Morris, David Brock, a liberal activist, reportedly joined in the September 2022 strategy session. \u201cAt one point, Hunter Biden himself happened to call into the meeting, connecting briefly by video to add his own thoughts,\u201d according to the Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While not detailing Hunter\u2019s purported thoughts, The Washington Post reported that Morris suggested \u201cit was crucial\u201d \u201cfor Hunter Biden\u2019s camp to be more aggressive.\u201d According to Saturday\u2019s article, Morris then described during the September meeting at his California home the \u201cdefamation lawsuits the team could pursue against the presidential son\u2019s critics, including Fox News, Eric Trump and Rudy Giuliani.\u201d Morris also reportedly \u201coutlined extensive research on two potential witnesses against Hunter Biden \u2014 a spurned business partner named Tony Bobulinski and a computer repairman named John Paul Mac Isaac.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brock provided more insight, telling the Post: \u201cThey feel that there is a whole counternarrative missing because of the whole Hunter-hater narrative out there.\u201d \u201cWhat we really got into was more the meat of it, the meat of what a response would look like,\u201d Brock said of the September meeting.
