As for the story yesterday in the Hollywood Reporter, some of it is true, some of it is half-true, some of it is not true, &#038; some of it we haven\u2019t decided yet whether it\u2019s true or not,\u201d Gunn <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JamesGunn\/status\/1600920132691189760\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted<\/a> Thursday. \u201cAlthough this first month at DC has been fruitful, building the next ten years of story takes time &#038; we\u2019re still just beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He described how he and producer Peter Safran were picked to revamp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DC Studios<\/a> to make changes and acknowledged that there was \u201can unavoidable transitional period as we moved into telling a cohesive story across film, TV, animation and gaming.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, in the end, the drawbacks of that transitional period were dwarfed by the creative possibilities and the opportunity to build upon what has worked in DC so far and to help rectify what has not,\u201d he wrote in the tweet thread.<\/p>\n<p>Gunn was replying to a story <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-features\/wonder-woman-3-not-moving-forward-dc-movies-1235276804\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> by The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week alleging that the third \u201cWonder Woman\u201d movie wasn\u2019t happening anymore.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gunn and Safran will present their current plans for the DC Universe across film, television and gaming next week to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. For now, insiders are guessing about what those plans entail.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming films in the DC Universe for 2023 include \u201cShazam! Fury of the Gods,\u201d \u201cThe Flash,\u201d \u201cBlue Beetle\u201d and \u201cAquaman and the Lost Kingdom,\u201d the publication noted. The next era of DC hopes to compete with the massive success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.<\/p>\n<p>Fans are confused because \u201cWonder Woman\u201d lead actress Gal Gadot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cl0D3B1r8lV\/\">posted<\/a> Monday to Instagram that she\u2019s \u201cso grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character\u201d and that she \u201ccan\u2019t wait to share her next chapter with you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Safran and Gunn\u2019s vision for the future of DC will officially end the cinematic universe which was brought to life by Zack Snyder. The so-called \u201cSnydervese\u201d has mixed reviews thanks to its \u201cmorally gray and visually gritty approach,\u201d as <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/wonder-woman-3-man-of-steel-2-warner-bros-dc-reboot-1235453630\/\">Variety<\/a> described it, which wasn\u2019t ideal for some fans.
