She had claimed that she would give a question to a colleague of Ateba, but he remained persistent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay. Thanks, everybody. Even when President Biden is hosting 50 African leaders, she cannot give a question to the African reporter in the room. Shameful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two have previously clashed during press briefings, including during Dr. Anthony Fauci\u2019s final meeting with reporters at the White House in November. Ateba accused Jean-Pierre of not taking a question from a Daily Caller reporter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re going to hold a press briefing, you need to call on people across the room,\u201d he said. \u201cShe has a valid question. She\u2019s asking about the origin of COVID \u2026 Fauci\u2019s the best person to answer this question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Pierre replied by saying she was \u201cdone\u201d with Ateba.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hear the question, but we\u2019re not doing this the way you want it,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is disrespectful. Simon, I\u2019m done. I\u2019m done with you right now.
