I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing \u2026 doctor\u2019s orders!\u201d Rimes continued.<\/p>\n<p>She then encouraged her fans to keep an eye out for rescheduling information on the canceled shows.<\/p>\n<p>Rimes\u2019 \u201cJOY: The Holiday Tour,\u201d featuring songs from her album \u201cgod\u2019s work,\u201d began December 2 and will tentatively resume December 16 after the singer has had time to recuperate, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/12\/08\/entertainment\/leann-rimes-postpones-hurt-vocal-cord-concert\/\">CNN<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Rimes will be playing at The Ryman in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 8 and at The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Iowa on September 29.<\/p>\n<p>Her announcement comes on the heels of another famous singer, Celine Dion, announcing her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome (SPS), an autoimmune disorder that leaves victims as \u201chuman statues\u201d who cannot walk or talk, as The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/celine-dion-reveals-heartbreaking-news-about-her-health\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time and it\u2019s been really difficult for me to face my challenges and to talk about everything that I\u2019ve been going through,\u201d she said. \u201cRecently I\u2019ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called the stiff-person syndrome which affects one in a million people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dion said her condition has made it a challenge to sing. \u201c\u2026 Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I\u2019m used to.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LeAnn Rimes has postponed some of her upcoming performances at the insistence of her doctor, who said she has a \u201cbleed\u201d on her vocal cord.
