office will not file charges against Araiza, along with former teammates Zavier Leonard and Nowlin Ewaliko.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUltimately, prosecutors determined it is clear the evidence does not support the filing of criminal charges,\u201d said Stephan, \u201cand there is no path to a potential criminal conviction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am grateful that the District Attorney and the San Diego Police Department have discovered all the facts and found no criminal wrongdoing,\u201d\u00a0Araiza said in a statement released through his agency in regards to the DA\u2019s decision. \u201cI am excited to reasonable doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In August, Araiza <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/sports\/2022\/08\/25\/bills-rookie-punter-matt-araiza-accused-of-gang-rape\/\">was accused<\/a> of gang rape in a separate civil lawsuit where the accuser stated that he and his two teammates gang-raped a student (who was at the time a legal minor) during their attendance at San Diego State University.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged female victim also said that Araiza spiked her drink, stating that the drink \u201cnot only contained alcohol but other intoxicating substances.\u201d She also said that he forced her into performing coerced sexual acts, and after she had done so Araiza was joined by the two other men who began to take turns raping her.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7553\" \u201cshakedown\u201d in which the woman charging him intended to do so to extort money from him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a shakedown because he\u2019s now with the Buffalo Bills,\u201d said Armstrong. \u201cThere is no doubt in my mind that Matt Araiza ever raped that girl.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the district attorney\u2019s decision in the criminal matter though, Araiza\u2019s football career seems uncertain.
