He said I\u2019d be fine. The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in D.C., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rent.com\/district-of-columbia\/washington-apartments\/rent-trends\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to Rent.com, is $2,435.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFrost went on to explain that he had bad credit as a result of the expenses he incurred while running for Congress.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&#8220;Didn\u2019t make enough money from Uber itself to pay for my living,&#8221; he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaxwellFrostFL\/status\/1600927724302131202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted<\/a>. &#8220;For that primary, I quit my full time job cause I knew that to win at 25 yrs old, I\u2019d need to be a full time candidate. 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. It\u2019s not sustainable or right but it\u2019s what we had to do.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSocialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York had a similar complaint when she was first elected, saying that she could not afford the rent in D.C. before obtaining her first congressional paycheck.
