Obviously, it would be his choice to make. But I assume that he would want to reevaluate it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The adviser added that Sanders is \u201cvery aware that he\u2019s older now and he\u2019d have to make a real judgment about his own vigor and his stamina and his desire and hunger and passion to do this a third time. But if it were an open field? Yeah, I\u2019m confident he would take another look at it and say, \u2018Do I want to do this or not?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Vermont senator ran in the Democratic primary in 2016, becoming the closest challenger to Hillary Clinton, who went on to win the nomination, edging out Sanders with help from the Democratic Party\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/la-na-clinton-sanders-democrats-20160516-snap-story.html\">superdelegates<\/a>. Sanders took another shot at the White House in 2020 when President Biden defeated him in the primary by a much larger margin.<\/p>\n<p>Biden, 80, has faced questions about his physical and mental <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/white-house-stealth-edits-bidens-apparent-teleprompter-gaffe-internet-notices-mockery-ensues\">capabilities<\/a> during his first two years in office. Nevertheless, the president has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-11-09\/biden-says-he-plans-to-run-in-2024-may-decide-early-next-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that he plans on running for re-election, even as many on the Left hope for other Democratic leaders to steer the party in 2024. An ABC News\/Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/poll-more-than-half-of-democrats-dont-want-biden-as-2024-nominee\">poll<\/a> from September revealed a majority of Democrats would prefer a candidate other than Biden in the next election.<\/p>\n<p>The president, however, recently received support for another term in the White House from party leaders like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and potential Democratic presidential nominee Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m all in; put me in, coach,\u201d Newsom reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gavin-newsoms-latest-move-indicates-dems-behind-a-biden-2024-run\">told<\/a> Biden during an Election Day phone call. \u201cWe have your back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe not only beat Trump once, I think he can beat him again,\u201d Newsom said of the president. \u201cI hope he runs, I\u2019ll enthusiastically support him.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A top adviser for Sen.
