Yet GOP senators are more preoccupied with Trump<em> talking<\/em> about altering the Constitution than they are with the deep state <em>committing<\/em> actual violations of it.<\/p>\n<p>After revelations uncovered that Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/12\/03\/twitter-files-confirm-big-tech-leftists-suppressed-hunter-biden-laptop-story-ahead-of-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">colluded<\/a> with the Biden campaign to censor content in the lead-up to the election and misused its \u201chacked material policy\u201d to annihilate the Hunter Biden laptop story, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/109449803240069864\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> to Truth Social:<\/p>\n<p>So, with the revelation of MASSIVE &#038; WIDESPREAD FRAUD &#038; DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, &#038; the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great \u2018Founders\u2019 did not want, and would not condone, False &#038; Fraudulent Elections!<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/109462304115605769\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clarified<\/a>\u00a0his comments on Monday, saying that he does not want to terminate the Constitution, but that there was \u201c\u2018MASSIVE &#038; WIDESPREAD FRAUD &#038; DECEPTION&#8217;\u201d that has been \u201cirrefutably proven in the 2020 Presidential Election\u201d and \u201csteps must be immediately taken to RIGHT THE WRONG.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead of devising a plan to reckon with the 2020 election\u2019s many issues or at least ensure election interference does not occur again, Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mike Rounds and John Thune of South Dakota, John Cornyn of Texas, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and Mitt Romney of Utah flew into hysterics over the former president\u2019s social media post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Murkowski <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/12\/05\/senate-republicans-trump-suspending-constitution-00072265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">decried<\/a> Trump\u2019s comments as \u201ca betrayal of our oath of office\u201d and \u201can affront to our Republic.\u201d Cornyn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2022\/12\/06\/ted-cruz-john-cornyn-trump-constitution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stated<\/a> that the former president\u2019s remarks were \u201cirresponsible,\u201d and Romney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/mitt-romney-skewers-trump-rino-termination-constitution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called<\/a> Trump a \u201cRINO\u201d (\u201cRepublican in name only\u201d). Thune <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/3762616-thune-trump-call-to-terminate-constitution-a-golden-opportunity-for-2024-rivals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">condemned<\/a> the president\u2019s comments and added that it is a \u201cgolden opportunity\u201d for 2024 rivals \u201cto create some contrast.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McConnell, who is responsible for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/11\/10\/the-case-against-mitch-mcconnell-for-leader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sabotaging<\/a>\u00a0GOP chances for a Senate majority, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/12\/06\/politics\/mcconnell-trump-constitution\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">used<\/a> the controversy to jab at Trump\u2019s bid for the presidency: \u201cAnyone seeking the presidency who thinks that the Constitution could somehow be suspended or not followed, it seems to me would have a very hard time being sworn in as president of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Federalist asked all seven of these Trump-critical senators if they have a plan to remedy the unconstitutional and illegal censorship of voters and news during the 2020 election, or if they have a plan to make sure it doesn\u2019t happen again.
