Claiming that the news had \u201csucked b***s,\u201d Applegate quickly scrambled to ask Clarkson whether she was actually allowed to use those words.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMarried With Children\u201d alum has previously spoken publicly about her battle with the debilitating disease, announcing over the summer that she was diagnosed in 2021 while filming the third and final season of her Netflix show \u201cDead to Me.\u201d But during Wednesday\u2019s interview with Clarkson, Applegate got candid about how that diagnosis came about.<\/p>\n<p>After blurting out that it had \u201csucked b***s,\u201d Applegate quickly turned to Clarkson and asked, \u201cCan I say that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can say whatever the hell you want,\u201d Clarkson confirmed with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI found out on a Monday after work that I had MS, a disease I\u2019m gonna have for the rest of my life,\u201d Applegate continued, explaining that it was only after she was officially diagnosed that she realized she had been seeing small warning signs of the progressive disease for several years before she got any real answers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t know what was happening to me. I couldn\u2019t walk. They had to use a wheelchair to get me to set. I was freaking out. Someone was like, \u2018You need an MRI,\u2019\u201d the actress recalled.<\/p>\n<p>Applegate praised her Netflix producers, saying that they had allowed her the time she needed to get treatment \u2014 and even considered cutting her series short \u2014 but that she had insisted on getting back to work and finishing the story she\u2019d set out to tell.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cDon\u2019t Tell Mom The Babysitter\u2019s Dead\u201d star was honored in November with a star on Hollywood\u2019s Walk of Fame \u2014 a ceremony she <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/today-i-was-me-married-with-children-star-explains-why-she-rocked-bare-feet-at-hollywood-ceremony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attended barefoot<\/a> because MS can cause shoes to feel overly restrictive \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/11\/01\/arts\/television\/christina-applegate-dead-to-me.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealing<\/a> just before the event that the disease had caused her to gain weight and rendered her unable to walk without a cane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was the sense of, \u2018Well, let\u2019s get her some medicine so she can get better,\u2019\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-never-going-to-accept-this-married-with-children-star-opens-up-about-ms-battle?_gl=1*1uug076*_ga*MTEyMjY3NjI0My4xNjcwMzQ3MTg2*_ga_CZKR9ZYKJP*MTY3MDUzMDgyOS43LjEuMTY3MDUzMDg3NS4xNC4wLjA.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Applegate said<\/a> of her first days processing the diagnosis. \u201cAnd there is no better.
