For his <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/11\/fauci-is-an-unhinged-unelected-bureaucrat-who-deserves-to-be-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">severe mishandling of Covid<\/a>, Fauci raked in more than <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/17\/while-shuttering-your-family-business-fauci-made-1-7-million-on-his-lies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$1.7 million<\/a> in 2020 alone.<\/p>\n<p>When questioned further about his role, Fauci failed to recall key conversations and documents related to the federal government\u2019s handling of the virus. Fauci said he couldn\u2019t recall when he first became familiar with \u201cThe Great Barrington Declaration,\u201d a document written by scientific experts challenging the government\u2019s heavy-handed lockdowns, even though he colluded with former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins to issue a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/12\/20\/damning-emails-prove-fauci-and-collins-colluded-to-nuke-herd-immunity-strategies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cquick and devastating published take down\u201d<\/a> of it in October 2020. He said he couldn\u2019t recall whether he authorized exceptions for certain parties to do gain-of-function research.
