But thanks to a Virginia prosecutor boosted by the liberal billionaire George Soros, the gunman may have his record cleared.<\/p>\n<p>The office of Fairfax County commonwealth\u2019s attorney Steve Descano (D.) last week struck a generous plea deal with Hall, which would let the 29-year-old shooter walk away with just a misdemeanor if he doesn\u2019t reoffend for three years, Fox 5 first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5dc.com\/news\/virginia-bar-owners-outraged-over-alleged-shooters-plea-deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hall is the latest violent offender to secure a sweetheart deal from Descano\u2019s office. In June 2021, Descano let a man who tried to rape a hotel maid walk with just five months in jail. The man later embarked on a <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/how-one-progressive-prosecutor-paved-the-way-for-an-east-coast-shooting-spree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nine-day shooting spree<\/a> in New York City and Washington, D.C., killing two homeless men and wounding three others.<\/p>\n<p>Descano is one of several progressive prosecutors elected with financial help from Soros. The left-wing billionaire has <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/report-soros-prosecutors-run-half-of-americas-largest-jurisdictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donated<\/a> tens of millions of dollars over the past decade to install so-called justice reform prosecutors in half of America\u2019s largest jurisdictions, many of whom have repeatedly released violent felons. Loudoun County prosecutor Buta Biberaj has released two murder suspects in the past few months, one of whom was hunted down after he fled to Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>A Descano spokesman told the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> the plea deal is being reviewed following Fox 5\u2019s report. But reducing sentences for offenders is consistent with his progressive approach. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairfaxcounty.gov\/commonwealthattorney\/sites\/commonwealthattorney\/files\/assets\/documents\/fairfax%20cwa%20-%20plea%20bargaining,%20charging%20decisions,%20and%20sentencing%20policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">memo<\/a> distributed to assistant prosecutors in his office urges them to seek misdemeanor charges over felonies whenever appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>On November 6, 2021, Hall assaulted an employee and brandished his gun when he was told he couldn\u2019t bring his kids into Sully\u2019s Pour House in Herndon, Va. Minutes after the initial confrontation, Hall returned and fired a shot through the bar\u2019s glass door, narrowly missing the same employee. The entire incident was captured on video.<\/p>\n<p>Sully\u2019s owner, Jenna Kuhn, along with a Herndon detective who charged Hall, protested the sentence to Descano\u2019s assistant attorney Robert Bezilla, who is handling the case.
