More than than 10% of staffed hospital beds also would have to occupied by COVID patients.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As of Thursday, the hospital admission rate already exceeded the CDC\u2019s threshold, with 11.9 new admissions per 100,000 residents. Masks. Treatments like Paxlovid. Earlier this month, The Post reported on <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/11\/17\/rsv-cases-spiking-at-nyc-hospitals-highest-levels-ever-seen\/\">staggering pediatric RSV numbers<\/a> in New York City hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re caring for more kids than we have beds for,\u201d Dr. James Schneider, head of the pediatric intensive care unit at Long Island Jewish Hospital, said at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As COVID infections continue to climb, Los Angeles authorities are urging residents to follow through with vaccination.
