Agresti<br \/>December 2, 2022<\/p>\n<p>During a November 30th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foreign.senate.gov\/hearings\/nominations-11-29-2022\">hearing<\/a> of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, a senior State Department official gave false testimony about a billion dollar bribery scandal involving Joe Biden. At the time, Biden was the vice president and serving as President Obama\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/the-press-office\/2015\/12\/09\/remarks-vice-president-joe-biden-ukrainian-rada\">point man<\/a> for Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>This affair began in March 2014 when Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/the-press-office\/2014\/04\/22\/remarks-vice-president-joe-biden-meeting-ukrainian-legislators\">gave a speech<\/a> before the Ukrainian parliament in which he promised that the U.S. would help Ukraine increase its gas production. That same month, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/HSGAC_Finance_Report_FINAL.pdf#page=23\">corrupt Ukrainian oligarch<\/a> placed Biden\u2019s son Hunter on the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/joe-biden-europe-business-c49555d51eb243e09a42f7577fc5937f\">board of his gas company<\/a> and began paying Hunter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfacts.com\/reference\/rosemont_seneca_bohai_payments_from_burisma_2014-2016.xls\">$83,333 per month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz directly <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/v1y0j3p-senator-cruz-torches-state-department-official-about-biden-family-corruptio.html\">asked<\/a> Kent, \u201cDid Joe Biden do anything that benefited the corrupt oligarch who was paying his son a million dollars a year?\u201d Kent attempted to dodge the question, but Cruz pressed him, and Kent replied, \u201cHe did not.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10709\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10709\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"no-padding wp-image-10709 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1301\" height=\"734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22.png 1301w, https:\/\/www.justfactsdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22-1024x578-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22-768x433-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ted_cruz_11.30.22-640x361-1.png 640w\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10709\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, 11\/30\/2022<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Challenging Kent\u2019s answer, Cruz pointed out that Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/event\/foreign-affairs-issue-launch-former-vice-president-joe-biden\">publicly bragged<\/a> about getting the chief prosecutor of Ukraine fired while the prosecutor was actively investigating the oligarch. Quoting Biden\u2019s own words captured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PNme4g0zraU\">on video<\/a>, Cruz noted that Biden threatened Ukraine\u2019s president and prime minister with withholding a \u201cbillion-dollar loan guarantee\u201d from Ukraine \u201cif the prosecutor is not fired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cruz then <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/v1y0j3p-senator-cruz-torches-state-department-official-about-biden-family-corruptio.html\">asked<\/a> Kent, \u201cDo you think Joe Biden holding a billion dollars hostage to force the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor that is investigating the corrupt oligarch who\u2019s paying his son a million dollars a year\u2014did getting that prosecutor fired benefit that oligarch?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before Kent could reply, committee chair Jeanne Shaheen (D\u2013NH) <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/v1y0j3p-senator-cruz-torches-state-department-official-about-biden-family-corruptio.html\">declared<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m not going to allow him to answer that question\u201d and criticized Cruz for putting Kent in an \u201cuncomfortable\u201d position. Cruz repeatedly called out Shaheen for protecting Biden until she allowed Kent to give a \u201cyes or no\u201d answer. In particular, his claim that the prosecutor was not investigating the oligarch is belied by the following facts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The prosecutor general, whose name was Viktor Shokin, signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfacts.com\/document\/ukraine_burisma_viktor_shokin_affidavit_9.4.19.pdf\">sworn affidavit<\/a> stating:\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings, a natural gas firm active in Ukraine and Joe Biden\u2019s son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The president of Ukraine \u201cwas emphatic that I should cease my investigations regarding Burisma. When I did not, he said that the US (via Biden) were refusing to release the USD $1 billion promised to Ukraine. He said that he had no choice, therefore, but to ask me to resign.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just two weeks before he was forced out of office, the prosecutor general obtained a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.interfax.com.ua\/news\/general\/322395.html\">court order<\/a> to seize some of Zlochevsky\u2019s properties, including his land, houses, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop contains a November 2, 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/bidenlaptopemails.com\/biden-emails\/email.php?id=20151102-183551_69528\">email from a Burisma executive<\/a> that instructed Hunter and his business partners to enlist \u201ctop US officials\u201d to \u201cvisit\u201d Ukraine and pressure Ukrainian officials to \u201cclose down\u201d all \u201ccases\/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nikolay is the informal first name of the oligarch, as proven by another email on Hunter\u2019s laptop which <a href=\"https:\/\/bidenlaptopemails.com\/biden-emails\/email.php?id=20140601-170947_38651\">states<\/a>, \u201cNikolay is indeed sole shareholder but not of Burisma, but of Brocity company that ultimately holds 100% of Burisma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Replying to the email from the Burisma executive, Hunter and his partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfactsdaily.com\/smoking-gun-newly-discovered-emails-confirm-joe-biden-obstructed-justice-for-his-sons-foreign-business-deal\">explicitly agreed<\/a> to do what Burisma asked of them and explained that they were \u201cdeliberately\u201d concealing the names of the U.S. officials who will carry out this plan to \u201cbe on the safe and cautious side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One month later, Joe Biden did exactly what these emails specified. Furthermore, he did this by pressuring two of the three \u201ckey targets\u201d that Burisma identified in its <a href=\"https:\/\/bidenlaptopemails.com\/biden-emails\/email.php?id=20151102-183551_69528\">email to Hunter<\/a>: the \u201cPresident of Ukraine\u201d and the \u201cProsecutor General.\u201d In December 2015, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/the-press-office\/2015\/12\/09\/remarks-vice-president-joe-biden-ukrainian-rada\">visited<\/a> Ukraine and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/event\/foreign-affairs-issue-launch-former-vice-president-joe-biden\">told<\/a> Ukraine\u2019s president and prime minister that he would withhold a billion dollar loan guarantee from Ukraine unless they fired the chief prosecutor. Biden later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/event\/foreign-affairs-issue-launch-former-vice-president-joe-biden\">boasted<\/a>, \u201cWell, son of a bitch, he got fired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor who replaced Shokin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfacts.com\/document\/zlochevsky_criminal_charges_dropped_by_ukraine_prosecutor_12.21.16.pdf\">dropped all<\/a> criminal charges against the oligarch, and years later, Biden praised this prosecutor as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/event\/foreign-affairs-issue-launch-former-vice-president-joe-biden\">solid<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s illicit actions, which are substantiated by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfactsdaily.com\/smoking-gun-newly-discovered-emails-confirm-joe-biden-obstructed-justice-for-his-sons-foreign-business-deal\">wealth of other incriminating facts<\/a>, accord with textbook definitions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefreedictionary.com\/bribe\">bribery<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefreedictionary.com\/extortion\">extortion<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/legal\/obstruction%20of%20justice\">obstruction of justice<\/a>. Yet, high-ranking government officials, journalists, big tech executives, and so-called fact checkers have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justfactsdaily.com\/smoking-gun-newly-discovered-emails-confirm-joe-biden-obstructed-justice-for-his-sons-foreign-business-deal#falsehoods\">systematically misled<\/a> the public about what took place.
