The federal government then appealed the ruling to the Eighth Circuit, which covers North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas.<\/p>\n<p>The Obama administration issued the federal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/03\/31\/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-advances-equality-and-visibility-for-transgender-americans\/\">mandate<\/a> more than six years ago in an attempt to force all doctors nationwide to perform gender transitions on any patient who consents, including children whose parents give permission.<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 21, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, under the direction of Secretary Xavier Becerra, issued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/hhs-ocr-notice-and-guidance-gender-affirming-care.pdf\">guidance<\/a> stating that it was illegal for doctors and health care providers to deny \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d to patients seeking such medical interventions.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Becerra indicated that the Biden administration supports using taxpayer dollars to pay for transgender treatment for minors, according to written testimony submitted to the House Committee on Education and Labor on Nov. 29 and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/11\/30\/xavier-becerra-taxpayers-sex-change-operations-minors-mary-miller\/\">obtained<\/a> by the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>And in California, Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed into law several legislative bills promoting \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d for minors.
