If you don\u2019t start to generate some buzz and attract these male numbers, we\u2019re dead and all your friends are going to lose their jobs,&#8217;\u201d Morgan \u2014 who played Peyton Sawyer on the CW series <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/11\/29\/sophia-bush-hilarie-burton-we-were-coerced-into-maxim-shoot\/\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hilarie Burton Morgan,\u00a0Sophia Bush Allege \u2018One Tree Hill\u2019 Showrunner Told Them to do \u2018Maxim\u2019 Shoot or\u00a0\u201cLose Their\u00a0Jobs\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yKdOZA1obt\">https:\/\/t.co\/yKdOZA1obt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/THR\/status\/1598059770434420742?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got told we had to do it,\u201d\u00a0Bush \u2014 who played Brooke Davis \u2014 added. \u201cBecause Brooke had been so sexualized on the show and the whole idea of this hometown hottie was Rachel\u2019s storyline. I was like, \u2018Look, if the girls want to do it, that\u2019s great. I don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 And I literally got told, \u2018If you do not go and shoot this cover with your co-stars, we will guarantee you that you will never be let out for a press day, a movie, an event, any of your charities. We will keep you here forever,&#8217;\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Their former co-star, Bethany Joy Lenz, told Bush and Morgan she was told she couldn\u2019t do the shoot because she was \u201ctoo fat.\u201d Both co-stars said it was news to them, because they were told Lenz had turned down the offer. Lenz played Haley James Scott on the hit series, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/11\/29\/sophia-bush-hilarie-burton-we-were-coerced-into-maxim-shoot\/\">Page Six<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey told me that they didn\u2019t come to me because I was too fat,\u201d Lenz told her co-stars on the podcast. \u201cI wasn\u2019t a hot girl on the show anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Schwahn was accused of sexually harassing several members of the \u201cOne Tree Hill\u201d cast and crew five years after the show finished, the outlet noted.
