He grew increasingly frustrated as California officials prevented a major Tesla factory from reopening, prompting the entrepreneur to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-says-tesla-moving-headquarters-from-california-to-texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">move<\/a> the company\u2019s headquarters to Texas. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-take-the-red-pill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">encouraged<\/a> other Americans to \u201ctake the red pill\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1287818109651431427?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1287818109651431427%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Felon-musk-announces-hes-switching-to-vote-republican\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noticed<\/a> that leftists are \u201closing the middle\u201d of the political spectrum.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have attacked him repeatedly over his recent acquisition of Twitter, including\u00a0Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democrat-senator-demands-answer-from-elon-musk-in-letter-musk-torches-him-in-response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote a letter<\/a> about someone being able to make a fake Twitter account impersonating him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday, a Washington Post reporter easily created a fake Twitter account in my name, and by paying $8.00 was also able to obtain Twitter\u2019s blue checkmark, signifying that Twitter had \u2018verified\u2019 the account was indeed that of a sitting U.S. Senator. It was not,\u201d Markey\u2019s letter began. \u201cApparently, due to Twitter\u2019s lax verification practices and apparent need for cash, anyone could pay $8.00 and impersonate someone on your platform. Selling the truth is dangerous and unacceptable.
