West appeared in the interview with notorious Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and conservative media personality Milo Yiannopoulos, who is now working for the rapper\u2019s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper and designer, who legally changed his name to Ye, told Pool that his \u201cfinance people\u201d told him that he will \u201chave to pay a lot of taxes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m talking about literally finding out that they were trying to put me in prison this morning,\u201d West said. \u201cBut I found out\u2014okay, so they froze, they put a $75 million hold on four of my accounts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then they said, \u2018You owe a lot of taxes.\u2019 Took me like six hours to find out how much \u2018a lot\u2019 was,\u201d Ye said.\u00a0\u201cWell, it was around $50 million.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elaborating, West said he\u2019s\u00a0\u201cobviously not the most financially literate person on the planet,\u201d and that he had approached different individuals involved in his businesses to determine a remedy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo now I\u2019m having\u2014I get to actually learn how to run a company. I get to learn how to, you know, to count, really,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s like I didn\u2019t even know where to put the money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the podcast, West also asked about whether he could run for president while in jail, and said he was trying to purchase a bank. Earlier in November, he announced a 2024 presidential bid, although records show he hasn\u2019t filed paperwork to run.<\/p>\n<p>West stated: \u201cI was just a child basically. When you become famous, you stop growing at that point. I became famous at age 24. I had handlers around. I had my mom around. I had different things, and it was always you go from one handler to the next handler to the next handler.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the episode, Pool asked West about controversial social media statements he made about Jews. Those comments caused Adidas and Balenciaga to sever ties with the rapper.<\/p>\n<p>West said the media\u2019s labels of him being an anti-semite \u201cisn\u2019t true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you read the definition [of anti-semite], it says you can\u2019t claim that there\u2019s multiple people inside of banks or media that are all Jewish or you\u2019re anti-semitic,\u201d he added. \u201cBut that\u2019s the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m literally gonna walk the [expletive] off the show if I\u2019m sitting up here having to, you know, talk about, \u2018You can\u2019t say that it was Jewish people that did it,\u2019 when every sensible person knows that,\u201d West added.<\/p>\n<p>When Pool asked West to elaborate, he then got up from his chair and walked out of the room. Fuentes and\u00a0Yiannopoulos, who both said little during the interview, followed him.<\/p>\n<h2>Presidential Run<\/h2>\n<p>In a video released last week, West said that he\u2019s running for president because he wants the\u00a0Federal Communications Commission (FCC) \u201cto look at my money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not clear why the FCC, a U.S. agency that regulates communications, would or even need to investigate his finances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went from being a multi-billionaire to not being able to use my Apple Pay four nights ago,\u201d West said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Vn0vshvON5U\">video<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason why I\u2019m announcing that I\u2019m running for president is I want the FCC to look at my money,\u201d he said. \u201cIf the FCC was looking at my money, there would be a possibility that Adidas wouldn\u2019t have went into JP Morgan Chase and froze my account \u2026 and put a $75 million hold on four different accounts.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Trump Meeting<\/h2>\n<p>Over the weekend, more controversy erupted when it was reported West, Fuentes, and others in West\u2019s entourage had dinner with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort. That incident prompted mainstream media outlets, self-described conservative news outlets, and some Republicans to criticize the former president for having dinner with alleged anti-semites.<\/p>\n<p>Trump wrote Saturday that West showed up \u201cwith 3 people, two of which I didn\u2019t know, the other a political person who I haven\u2019t seen in years\u201d and, according to him, \u201cI told him don\u2019t run for office, a total waste of time, can\u2019t win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye (Kanye West), who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed \u2018advice,\u2019\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/109412757444768475\">added<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times has contacted the IRS for comment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"author_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"one_author_block round\">\n<div class=\"top_row\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/author-jack-phillips\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/06\/13\/Jack-Phillips.jpg\" alt=\"Jack Phillips\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"names\">\n<p>Breaking News Reporter<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Follow<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Jack Phillips is a senior reporter for The Epoch Times based in New York.
