Among the reports, the social media giant states they are <a href=\"https:\/\/transparency.twitter.com\/en\/reports\/covid19.html#item0:2021-jul-dec:\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no longer enforcing<\/a> its COVID-19 &#8220;misleading information policy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Musk had promised the release of the transparency reports, saying it is necessary to regain the trust of the public.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Twitter Files on free speech suppression soon to be published on Twitter itself. As such, we continue to prioritize removing or annotating potentially harmful and misleading information to ensure that users can readily find credible information during this critical phase.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>January 2022 saw the most accounts banned, totaling over 2,200 accounts.
