Over the Thanksgiving break, the Treasury Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/put-america-last-biden-gives-chevron-greenlight-to-start-pumping-oil-in-venezuela-again\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> it would allow Chevron to resume pumping oil in Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>Curiously, the Biden administration claims that it removed the sanctions on the socialist country for reasons other than bringing down the costs of fuel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis action is not being taken in response to energy prices, this is a limited license,\u201d an anonymous official told Politico. \u201cAs we have said in the past, this is about the regime taking the steps needed to support the restoration of democracy in Venezuela.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So interestingly enough, the Biden administration thinks that temporarily assisting Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro\u2019s regime takes precedence over the battle against climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Democracy in Venezuela is more important than stopping carbon emissions. Yet fighting climate change remains more important than helping the average American by taking steps to ensure more domestic production of oil. So to keep track of Biden\u2019s priorities it goes: 1) Venezuelan democracy, 2) climate change, and dead last is affordable energy for Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind putting the kibosh on American oil, the Biden administration has also taken steps in recent months to squander the country\u2019s relationship with Guyana \u2014 an ally in South America.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/amp\/articles\/bidens-dirty-oil-deal-with-venezuela-free-elections-guyana-environmental-reparations-strategic-value-pdvsa-11669579238\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According<\/a> to The Wall Street Journal, America recently blocked a $70 million loan from U.S.-based bank IBD Investments that would have allowed Guyana to upgrade necessary infrastructure in the country to allow exports of its oil.<\/p>\n<p>WSJ columnist Mary Anastasia O\u2019Grady said the Biden administration\u2019s \u201creasoning was based on August 2021 Treasury \u2018guidance on fossil fuel energy at the multilateral development banks,\u2019 which says that the U.S. will \u2018promote ending international financing of carbon-intensive fossil fuel-based energy.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Who is stepping in to assist Guyana? The Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<p>As O\u2019Grady put it, \u201cThe U.S. government thinks you\u2019re a fool, dear reader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration \u201cexpects you to believe that Venezuela is considering a return to free elections in exchange,\u201d she wrote.\u00a0 Venezuela\u2019s partners with Iran and the Venezuelan people have suffered for decades thanks to the socialist principles and policies in play in the South American nation.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the regime will undoubtedly become wealthier thanks to the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the Chinese are working to increase their stature in the region by producing the necessary funding for Guyana\u2019s oil industry to prosper.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), it should be noted, has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/in-devastating-blow-to-john-kerrys-green-energy-utopia-china-to-start-increasing-coal-production\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ignored<\/a> the Biden administration\u2019s call to reduce Co2 emissions. It has, to put it bluntly, taken climate czar John Kerry to the woodshed on numerous occasions and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jetsetter-john-kerry-asks-worlds-poorest-to-cut-back-on-oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">often don\u2019t answer his emails<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So if communist China and ultra-socialist Venezuela are benefiting from the Biden team\u2019s ineptitude, then who is suffering? The American people.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being on the brink of true energy independence upon coming into office, the Democrats in charge have done everything imaginable to reduce fossil fuel production, destroy Americans\u2019 jobs, and ratchet up the price of gas. In its place, they push costly electric vehicles and praise the \u201ctransition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, Biden prefers communist oil, not American-produced.
