Catching the disease early is a crucial component of treating and managing of the condition, but some signs <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/parkinsons-disease-hearing-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">can be subtle<\/a> and easy to miss. A large number of Parkinson&#8217;s patients\u2014over 60 percent\u2014experience one symptom in particular. According to the National Institute on Aging (NIA), some cases of PD seem to be hereditary, while others <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nia.nih.gov\/health\/parkinsons-disease\" target=\"_blank\">can be traced back<\/a> to specific genetic mutations. But &#8220;while genetics is thought to play a role in Parkinson&#8217;s, in most cases the disease does not seem to run in families,&#8221; the NIA says. &#8220;Many researchers now believe that Parkinson&#8217;s results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/loss-of-smell-parkinsons-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">exposure to toxins<\/a>.&#8221;<span aria-hidden=\"true\">ae0fcc31ae342fd3a1346ebb1f342fcb<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Age is another risk factor for PD. &#8220;Young adults rarely experience Parkinson&#8217;s disease,&#8221; says the Mayo Clinic, noting that PD usually occurs in mid-to-late life, with the risk increasing as a person gets older. &#8220;Men are more likely to develop Parkinson&#8217;s disease than women,&#8221; the site explains. PD requires that you have the symptom known as bradykinesia (slowed movements). &#8220;People who have this describe it <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaeljfox.org\/news\/ask-md-vision-and-parkinsons-disease\" target=\"_blank\">as muscle weakness<\/a>, but it happens because of muscle control problems, and there&#8217;s no actual loss of strength,&#8221; explains the Michael J. Reasons behind <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/dry-eyes\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20371863\" target=\"_blank\">dry eyes or blurry vision<\/a> can include &#8220;hormone changes, autoimmune disease, inflamed eyelid glands or allergic eye disease,&#8221; says the Mayo Clinic. Other times, your eyes are sending a warning signal about a more serious condition. Vision changes can be a symptom <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/blurry-vision-eye-cancer-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">of eye cancer<\/a>, <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/eyes-brain-trouble-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">early-onset dementia<\/a>, or PD, among other conditions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dry eye disease (DED), which occurs when the eyes are not sufficiently moistened by tears, can lead to <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/parkinsonsnewstoday.com\/news\/dry-eye-disease-appears-common-parkinsons-patients\/\" target=\"_blank\">chronically dry eyes<\/a> that cause discomfort and risk vision loss, significantly disrupting daily life,&#8221; reports Parkinsons News Today, noting that <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41598-022-22037-y\" target=\"_blank\">a recent study<\/a> found the estimated occurrance of DED in Parkinson&#8217;s patients is between 53 percent and 60 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Some people with Parkinson&#8217;s report that their <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.parkinson.org\/understanding-parkinsons\/non-movement-symptoms\/vision\" target=\"_blank\">vision loses sharpness<\/a> as their disease progresses,&#8221; advises the Parkinson&#8217;s Foundation. &#8220;Difficulties related to the eyes and vision often progress alongside other PD symptoms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dry eyes can occur because of decreased blinking, which can also <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/eyes-diabetes-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">result in blurry vision<\/a>.
